Dear all Sloan
Alumni,
On
Monday, October 22nd, 2007, the
2007 General Assembly of MIT-Sloan
Society of Japan was held successfully
having more than 50 attendees.
Unfortunately, Mr. Stephen J.
Sacca, Director of Sloan Fellows
Program had to cancel his attendance
but with Mr. Rod Garcia from
Admission Office and many alumni
of Sloan Fellows, we all gave
new grads of Class of 2007 a
warm welcome.
After
the opening note from the MIT-SSJ
president Maki Yoshida (Class
of 1994), the result of SSJ activities
through 2006-2007 along with
the feedback of the survey officers
did this year were reported.
After the introduction of SSJ
officers, new members from Class
of 2007 came up front and delivered
a small address one by one.
Tables
in the venue were assigned to
each range of graduation years.
Thus members were able to mingle
with members who graduated near
themselves.
In
the latter half of the assembly,
Mr. Kazunari Tochinai (Class
of 2006, Sloan Fellows), Mr.
Yoichi Yokomizo, who is the former
MIT-SSJ president and now the
chairman of MIT Association,
and Mr. Rod Garcia gave us a
talk. Members who showed up reminded
themselves of their good memories
at Sloan and had Sloan updates.
We
hold this assembly every year
and always appreciate your attendance
and proactive support to all
activities of MIT-SSJ.
Thank
you
Officers,
MIT-SSJ
